Dj Big Nito
Big Nito has been dj'ing for over 20 years and is well versed in all genres of music like: Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Disco, House, & Classics, plus his Spanish background (He’s from Panama) help him to excel in genres like Reggaeton, Salsa, & Merengue.
Big Nito started dj’ing in his room at the age of 15 where his father’s extensive record collection exposed him to artists like James Brown, Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Bee Gees, & Marvin Gaye to name a few. Big Nito continued to buy & collect records to broaden his knowledge of music and by age 17, started playing for sweet 16’s, birthday parties, wedding receptions, and recording mix tapes for friends. While attending NYC Technical College pursuing his degree in Marketing Mgmt & Sales, he got involved with the I.B.O. (International Business Organization) Club and was their dj for their annual “Spring’O’Rama” Talent/ Fashion Show from 1993 to 1995.
Since then, Redline Productions continued to gain notoriety and Big Nito has dj’ed alongside some of NY’s Hottest DJ’s such as: DJ Scratch of EPMD, DJ Clue of Power105.1, Massive B, DJ Mister C of Hot 97, DJ S&S, DJ Craig-G, and Steely Bashment. He has also spun at some of the Hottest Clubs such as: Club NV, Club Speed, Club Aria, Lola Restaurant, Club Nocturnal, The Warehouse, The Elite Ark, and Tropical Reflections.
DJ Big Nito also dj’s for thousands of people every year on top of a float at the annual Labor Day Parade in Brooklyn, NY. He has also spun for other parades and carnivals in and out the country with crowds of over 5000 in New Jersey, Washington, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Port Charlotte, Houston, Long Beach, Maryland, Boston, Virginia Beach, Atlanta, and Panama.
In 2003, DJ Big Nito started dj’ing on an underground radio station named “Bashment Radio” 103.1fm. Everyone said he had a good voice for radio. He stayed there for almost two years before he decided to take a 1-year rest from the radio business. In October of 2005, DJ Big Nito started back spinning, but on a new underground station named “Caribbean Power” 94.3fm. He stayed with Caribbean Power for two years. While spinning on 94.3fm he reconnected with a childhood friend “Dollarman”. Dollarman; a reggae singer, had just hit the Billboard Dance charts with his hit single “Rock this Party” which went Gold and made it to #1. Dollarman had worked with Nito on past shows in the Hamptons (L.I., NY) and instantly made Big Nito his official Hypeman. They performed for numerous shows like WKTU’s “Beachstock” as well as venue’s in Connecticut, NYC, Long Island, and Toronto, Canada.
Big Nito's latest effort, a new club single entitled "Wanna Party" is playing in clubs across the country and dj radio shows around the world. Big Nito is credited an official club hypeman by is fans and has shown them he's a true Brother Of Noble Excellence.
